"Don't put all of your eggs in one basket." All of us have heard this a time or two. The saying is definitely relative when it comes to applying for a job. At Tanner Health System we encourage each of our job applicants to apply for any/and every position for which they are interested in and qualify for. Not only do you increase your chance of receiving a call from a recruiter, but you're opening yourself up to numerous possibilities. The sky really is the limit at Tanner Health System so don't limit yourself to one opportunity...there are many out there waiting.

Why does Tanner require a credit check for certain positions? Having bad credit doesn't necessarily reflect on the applicant's ability to do their job. In this economic state, who doesn't have bad credit?
Thank you for your question. It certainly is one that comes up these days.
As a sound financial management practice, Tanner Health System has an obligation to our patients and employees to protect the organization’s finances by evaluating risks prior to hire. We conduct these evaluations in a number of ways including credit checks, criminal background investigations and software expertise tests.
In particular, the credit checks are required as a way of helping us find the best person for the job. It is imperative that we have people with demonstrated money-management skills and without the distractions of poor credit in these positions. The credit check is one way those skills are demonstrated.
We usually encourage applicants with not-so-good credit history to apply for other positions within our system while they work to restore their good credit standing.
